Bringing the Gospel and the Reformed Faith to Milwaukee
Southside Bible Study
As Jim walks the city streets with a heart for hurting people and for the honor of Christ, he reaches out to those who are open and invites them to study the Word with him. Currently Jim's "Southside Bible Study" is held on 2nd and 4th Sundays, from 4:00-5:00 pm, and 2nd and 4th Thursdays, from 4:30-5:15 pm, each month, at the St. Vincent de Paul Society mission location on the southside of Milwaukee. In the hour prior to the evening meal provided to the homeless and low-income population of the city, Jim gathers all those willing to study the Word of God and to hear the proclamation of Christ and the Gospel. Afterward, moving into the meal, Jim is regularly asked to offer prayer, and during the meal, he visits with the people, befriending them and offering to pray with and for them.
Your participation is invited!
Please pray for this ministry and come visit and participate. For the best experience, please contact Jim to let him know you are coming.
Meet Jim Brown
Jim Brown has been reaching out for Christ to the Milwaukee area for 10 years, seeking to win souls for Christ and to share his conviction and love for the Reformed faith. By his employment on the southside of Milwaukee, Jim sees the devastation of sin every day. His desire is to bring hope and healing to those who are open to his offer of friendship and ministry.
Jim and his wife Beverly have been married 26 years and have two adult daughters. Residing in West Allis, Wisconsin, Jim and Beverly are faithful members of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church, Prairie View, Illinois, and dream of one day seeing an RPCNA congregation planted in Milwaukee.
West Allis Home Bible Study
Jim and Beverly Brown host a Saturday evening Bible Study in their home in West Allis, Wisconsin, meeting twice each month. This Bible Study is aimed at helping participants as believers in Christ to grow in their faith, although those exploring and just learning about the Christian faith are also invited and encouraged to attend. Participants are welcome from all church affiliations, as they are interested in learning more about the Reformed Christian faith.
We trust that you will find it evident that Jim and Beverly love Christ and His Word and have the spiritual gift of hospitality, as they warmly welcome your visit and participation. If you have questions about their home Bible study or are ready to join in, please contact Jim and Beverly through the form below.
